In terms of key calls and alerts of the TLK100, let’s explore further:
Contact List
You are able to hold up to 300 contacts. A contact name is no more than 30 alphanumeric characters and the contact list is displayed in an alphabetical order. You also have the ability to fast scroll. It is worth pointing out that if one of your contacts is offline, it will be hidden from the list.
Group Calls
There is the capacity to set up 100 talkgroups. With this amount of capacity, you have the ability to create targeted groups within your organisation so that the right personnel are connected.
Private Calls
A private call is a call from an individual radio to another individual radio. To select a contact, simply scroll through your contact list using the rocker or volume up and volume down buttons until the right contact is displayed. Once selected, press the PTT to make the call.
Broadcast Calls
A broadcast call is a call from an individual radio to every radio on the channel. Broadcast calls are used to make important announcements, that require your full attention. You cannot respond to broadcast calls.
Instant Personal Alerts (IPA’s)
Instant Personal Alert is a callback request notification that can only be sent or received in your contact list. IPAs are stored in the IPA status list to allow you to view and reply at a later time. When multiple IPAs are received, the latest IPA will appear at the top of the list with a maximum of nine alerts able to be stored.
