WAVE PTX lands at Signature Flight

Wirefr3 are delighted to be providing the Motorola WAVE PTX communication service at Signature Flight, Manchester.

Signature Flight has grown to become the worlds largest network of Fixed Base Operations (FBO’s).  Signature deliver an exceptional experience and essential support to business and private aviation customers.  To help Signature deliver their world class service, they require a world class communication system.  Step forward Motorola WAVE PTX.

Utilising the WAVE PTX TLK100 handheld radio, the team are able to deliver vital messages across the entire airport and beyond.  The TLK100 delivers UK and Europe-wide coverage so location and range is not an issue. In addition to the team using the TLK100 radios, Fuel staff also required comms.  The Fuel team require specially certified radios to operate in the areas that they work.  To provide them with an appropriate solution that still runs WAVE PTX, we were able to utilise an Atex  Smartphone produced by i.safe MOBILE.  By using this Smartphone, we were able to provide a compliant device that supported the WAVE PTX service.  How?  By downloading the Motorola WAVE PTX App which turn the smartphone into a two-way radio.  Now the Fuel team, operations and customer service can enjoy instant communication, no matter their location.
